Can you retract the wing mirrors while driving?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I occasionally drive a Honda CRV for work, and if you are in a "tight spot" you can retract the wing mirrors while still driving. Is there any way of doing the same on the Yeti?...

I have tried twiddling the mirror adjustment knob to the "9:00 o'clock position" but nothing seems to happen while you are actually moving?

Many thanks,

The mirror retract position is 7 - 8 o'clock.

From the manual.
""Retract both of the exterior mirrors with the rotary knob
It is only possible to fold in both exterior mirrors when the ignition is switched
on and at a speed of up to 15 km/h.""

It is nearly impossible to see from the drivers seat.

This feature is pretty useless on the Yeti, as you need to be going pretty slow to get the mirrors to fold in. No speed limit for this function on my last car an Octavia 3 where I could fold the mirrors in just before turning into my very narrow driveway on a main road.

It's funny though that having folded the mirrors in you can pull away and drive as fast as you like and they stay folded!

The slow speed retract is very handy on the Kingsbridge to Slapton road!
