The A pillar trim on my Fabia is peeling away on one side (photos attached).

 

Will this cause problems with water ingress? If so, does anyone know the difficulty/cost of fixing?

If it is a seal between to mating panels, with an otherwise unsealed gap, then the answer must be "YES"! 

As to removing and re-fitting, have you asked a dealer how difficult it may be? It might be so easy and a cheap enough part that eliminating it purely on aesthetic grounds will be worth while.

I think I am right in saying the black panel comes off fairly easily as they are just trims. Mine is colour coded to match but some models had these black ones as standard. Removing the panel might just enlighten you to how to remove the rubber.

Has it had a replacement windscreen?  Just not the Covers put back on properly.

The fitter usually brings new A Pillar covers.  £15 is all they cost.

It hasn't had a new windscreen to my knowledge (bought the car at 6.5k miles).

 

Will water come into the cabin if I don't fix it? Or is it just cosmetic?

 

If it's just cosmetic and there's no risk of the car interior getting wet, I'm probably inclined to leave it for the moment, then replace both trims at a later date.
