Has anyone found a good guide as to refurbing alloys.

i have 2 that are........ well ****'d.......:thumbdwn:

no structural damage just superficial

and one other thats got a little mark. :(

was thinking about a full respray :confused: and colour change :) also so not just a touch-up.

am getting new rims anyway it was just for a project to sell on or keep for winter tyres.

A place local to me refurbishes alloys for £50 a wheel. That's a full professional service including relaquering the whole wheel . . . . don't ask me if this is a good price, though, as I've never seen any other prices.

Surely to refurbish yourself you'll need some decent polishing machines, not to mention access to some good materials to repair with?

i use a place in glasgow for my alloys, they do a good job :)

Kenny - may be possible if I knew I was visiting family up there, then going back x days/weeks later :D Otherwise, it's a bit of a way from Manc....
