Retrofitting KESSY

Featured Replies

Hi!

Just bought a RS from 2015 and it didnt have KESSY. Just wondering if its possible to retrofit it or if I should just give up the idea :)

It's not going to be an easy one for sure. There are various signal sensors located throughout the car, new door handles required with touch sensors, start button to replace ignition barrel etc. That's before we get to any additional wiring looms or coding.

Anything is possible with enough time, money and knowledge. As a Kessy owner it's good, but I'm not sure i'd go to the effort of a retrofit.

If your budget for doing it is £50, then no, it’s not going to be possible.

It'll be cheaper and easier to sell your car and buy another with KESSY.

As ahenners said, it's good to have ( we have it on our SEAT ) but I don't miss it on the Skoda, the reason being I previously owned a Renault and that was a much better system than VW Group's KESSY. At times (especially when washing the car)  I find KESSY to be annoying.

I see, yeah if its that much of a hassle I'd rather spend my money and time on something else :)

Thanks!
