Horn

Featured Replies

We had the front wings bonnet rad etc replaced after a skip lorry reversed into us. At this moment I do not know whether the horn was replaced or damaged. As I do not use the thing very much the sound seemed different but thinking it was me. However this weekend I really gave it a push as a car jumped into my space between another car on the M25.The sound was like a pregnant duck, any ideas guys what could be wrong.

Knackered, replace.

The moral of the story is, use it or lose it.

It's a good idea to test all items once a week e.g. electric windows, horn, lights etc.

As it's a safety item it's prudent you sort the matter quickly, it could save a life or affect an insurance claim.

The horn is mounted low down on the left hand side, about level with the left side of the grille.  Given the damage you have listed I'd fully expect the horn was also a casualty, albeit not one "mentioned in dispatches".

There's little you can do to fettle an electric horn so just replace it.

BTW how did you know the duck was pregnant? :)
