Hi,  

 

I recently had my timing chain replaced on a 2011 Skoda Fabia. Since then when my car is in traffic or is slowing down my car vibrates and rattles slightly, not always but at least once a journey.

 

I took the car back to the garage who were unsure of the cause and asked me to come back if it persists. 

 

Any ideas of the cause and if it could be related to the changing of my timing chain.

Was the Upgraded Timing Chain Tensioner fitted? 

 Was it a Skoda Workshop or VW Specialist that did the job?

 

Did you know about the Turbo Shim TPI, or the Turbo Acuator Issue some have or the Timing Chain Tensioner Update?

Hi, it was not a Skoda or VW specialist that completed the job. I do apologise I am not very technical with cars, the timing chain was replaced due to my engine warning light coming on and my car losing exceleraation.
