Alarm horn replacement

Featured Replies

Mine showed up on the scans as non functional, having removed it and taken it apart its definitely foutu so I need a new or SH one.

First question, part number is 1K0951605B whereas all the replacements new or SH I see are revision C, are they interchangeable?

New ones seem to be silly money or I can get a Chinese one from Aliexpress for €60 inc delivery to France.

SH ones on Ebay from £10 but many are older than the supposed 6 year life, failure mode seems to be the battery pack leaking and corroding the circuit board (mine was) I would rather not have a standby battery than know that the one is going to fai, probably soon, screw up the PCB and may give me false alarms and flatten the vehicle battery.

Knowing how easy it is to get apart my 2nd question is will it function with the battery pack removed and not throw up fault codes?

Final question, is there now a source of replacement cell packs so that I could replace the one in a SH purchase?

Thank you.

battery packs were -couple of years back--available can't be of more help but it was an industrial battery specialist,  usually suffix letters are usually backward compatible
