Epc light and Crankshaft sensor

Featured Replies

Hi, all.

I am owner of Skoda Yeti 1.2 tsi (2011).

My problems started araund three months ago.

My epc light in combination with traction control light sometimes illuminate and car goes into limp mode. During the summer, this happened only in hot days (araund 30°C). But now is happening in lower temperature (20°C).

Until now, i have changed camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Also my throttle body has been cleaned. The problem is still there.

Today my car was scanned. The codes that came out are P064200 and P033700 (Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input).

My mechanic thinks, that maybe the chain is stretch and the motor is out of sync. The chain was changed under warranty 50.000km ago.

I would really appreciate any opinions from you.

Thank you in advance and have a great evening everyone.

This is a known problem to the older Yeti's. Check your wiring just below the battery. Good luck.
