Looks like the fan for my aircon/heater has packed up - anyone got an idea about the cost for a replacement

If you have aircon, the price seems to range from £100 to £200 depending on where you source it.

my friend got one of ebay (Lithuania) for £60 ish I think. Was quite easy to fit. Looking into this more it looks like the brushes on these motors are the weak point. If you can find somewhere to get new ones it could be a cheap fix.

Thanks guys. At least it is not too expensive having spent about £1500 in the last few months on the car. Not good at DIY (usually break things) so it is booked in to a local (non dealer) garage on Thursday.

Fan had seized up. Replaced and all now working
