Smash and grab on my sat nav - HELP

Featured Replies

Hi, Last night I came out of the cinemar to discover some w*****s had smashed the passanger front window and stolen the colombus sat nav / dab / bluetooth system - I am getting window replaced this morning but need help / advice on how to replace the colombus. Oh and I do not want to claim on my insurance and loose my no claims bonus. Can anyone help please!!!!

You might want to add what year and model your car is, more than one kind of headunit share the Columbus name.

If you want to keep the same headunit, you're probably looking at £300-£400 for the older RNS-510 style or more for the newer MIB1/MIB2 style.

Any damage to the wiring will also need sorting, it's not unusual for them to just cut the connectors off. Pictures would be helpful :)

All wires and connections look present and correct and no damage to the dashboard or the surround - they even removed the plastic front and left that for me !!! These idiots obviously knew what they were doing so it was not the first time they have done it!!!

oh the car is a 2014 yeti L&k

Might be worth asking @Rustynuts what he has in stock. Pretty sure a 2014 Yeti has a RNS-510 style Columbus.

If you're near North Yorks you're welcome to pop in and I'll have a quick look see what you had, and I'm fairly sure I'll have a replacement in the workshop.
