Up date the Sat Nav Amundsen 2 using a Mac

Featured Replies

I've had a trawl but no results so here goes.

I have downloaded the 2018/2019 Maps to a folder soon the Desk top on my Mac Book Pro. I understand the Mac is not the best way to update the SD Card

Can anyone guide me through the process please not forgetting I must be the least knowledgable  person around when It involves any thing slightly technical.

Thanks in advance.

Evening Auric,

I updated mine a few weeks ago using a Mac, and while I can’t remember exactly how I did it, I followed the instructions on the Skoda portal and it just worked.

I backed up the existing maps to the Mac, then * I think * using disk utility, erased and formatted the SD card to wipe it completely before copying over the new files/folders...I think when I just moved the original folders to the trash can, it popped up telling that there wasn’t enough space on the card for the new files when I tried to copy them over.

just make sure before you do anything, back up the original files and folders to your Mac,so if a anything does go wrong, you can revert to them :)

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Nick
