Skoda 120L FIVE Estelle-original tyres?

Featured Replies

Hey all, does anybody know what type of tyre the 120L was fitted with originally? The car has alloy wheels and a mismatch of tyres at the moment-165/80/13-can you help? Cheers

165/80/13 is correct....the alternative is 185/70/13 for cars with alloys but I know neither of these sizes are very available anymore......a lot of people go for 185/60/13 on alloy equipped cars - which alters the speedo reading slightly.....but the speedos are massively inaccurate anyway  (over read - 100mph on speedo = 90mph in reality) so it's not a big issue.

Or 175/70R13 will work (and so should 186/60R14 with new wheels).

Hiya, thank you for that, I have found some Barum 165/80/13 online at £48 each so they should look grand :-)

Hiya Peter, I got 5 Barum tyres in the end, from Just Tyres in Wakefield, £45 each, fitted and balanced.. Proper Czech tyres like you say BUT I noticed it now says “Made In Romania” on the wall! hahaha-bit sad about that, wonder if the Barum factory in Zlin CZ is still working..
