Sort of following the seat belt chime thread, the most annoying thing for me is how the central locking operates. I understand how some would want only the drivers door opening, but can the car be programmed so that all doors open?

Mine does both mate, it can be done!!

I went down the dealers and got them to re-programme mine so that it un-locks all the doors and I also got them to add the alarm bleep, had this on my Bora and had to get it on the Superb!! Just ask your dealer to do it for you, my local one didn't even charge me!!

Atsu's car is coded for single door opening.

Its can be coded for -

all door opening

beep on unlock

beep on lock

indicators flash on lock/unlock

drive away locking

Pop in anytime Atsu and i can program them for you.

Don't know if my Superb Elegance was specially programmed, but it's 1 click to open the driver's door and a double click to open all doors.

But I don't have a beep. And I'm truly grateful for that....there are enough things going 'ping' and I don't want my car sounding like a fruit machine.

Added the alarm chirp and automatic door locking via my vag-com. Not sure how to code the doors to open on one press of the button, but would like to know so I can do it to mine.

Look at the existing Soft. Coding. If you have selective unlocking (press the unlock button on the remote once to open the driver's door, twice to open all the doors) the last digit of your coding should be an even number. To make all doors unlock, add 1 to the coding.

So, if you have a Superb that is coded for selective unlocking (00064) add one to make it 00065 so that all doors unlock with one press of the unlock button.

Numbers are just an example.

The same I'm afriad. There are several setting for different countries, but all sound identical

The alarm bleeps once to lock the car and then twice to unlock the car.

Me thinks I am going to be phoning my local garage in the morning to get this done asap!

My garage told me it takes half an hour to do it! I guessed they were giving me the line as well.

It prolly does take half an hour to book the car in, raise a job card, plug in 5051, set it up, invoice you etc.
