Hi folks,

I have a G201 error code on my 2008 Octy II.  The skidding car warning light is permanently on.  I have priced a repair/ replacement at a local garage at £450.  However at my local breakers I found one on a 2004 that is identical in appearance to the duff one on my car but a different part number.

 

My question is, if I fit it and bleed in accordance with the help post on here is it likely to conflict with the EMU if the part numbers are not identical?

 

Can a VCDS assist in clearing any conflict?

Normally the 2004 part would be of lower specs than your 2007 , so i assume maybe could not be coded corectly or work in your car.

And you'll roll back to older software versions than your current one which could possible cause issues.

you'll need to keep the log and maps of the old prior replacement as there may be needed to place back.

What are both parts' P/N?
