It should physically fit.

You might have problems with your maxidot/MFD as Skoda and VW MFSW send different CAN messages. You'll also have a VW logo :p

I'm going to try.
Since I have bought a cheap steering wheel like the picture.
Unfortunately, I will not get it in a month. If it does not work i
will install it in my Vw T5 2013 :p .
logo I get a local fima to create new one.

Isn't that steering wheel the same generation as current Octavia/Superb - white color? If so, the illumination won't work, and most of the buttons won't function properly

The one in the picture is certainly fitted to a PQ car based on the dash and headunit. There might a similar looking wheel in a MQB car of course...

The steering wheel is from a December 2014 Vw CC

If that's the case, I guarantee half of the buttons won't work, or won't work as what is expected from them, no back-light illumination and no horn ... ask me how I know ... :D

Not necessarily, they've also changed the plug & socket in the process and the multifunction buttons controller ... I had a Octavia MQB steering wheel for testing purposes, and managed to source a suitable airbag multifunction cable (which connects to the steering wheel), the incompatible wheel didn't illuminate and I had maybe 20% of the buttons working, 20% of buttons did wrong actions, and the rest were inoperable ...

@vborovic you're confusing things. If the wheel is from a 2014 VW CC then it's a PQ based car...

Didn't the Octavias switch to MQB somewhere in 2013? I guessed that VW would be at least one year ahead in that regard (VAG thing)

The transition from PQ to MQB was made when a new model was released.

For the Octavia, that was in about 2013 when the MK3 was released.

The Yeti never transitioned to MQB so was PQ based until the end of production in about 2017.

The CC is similar, it remained on the PQ platform until the end of production.

As for your Superb, you can fit a MK3 style wheel if you use buttons from a PQ car such as the MK2 FL Superb or Yeti :)

Which I already did ... :D ... then by your explanation, the OP steering wheel should work (red illumination though)

Buttons will work, illumination will be red.

New steering wheel mounted and everything works.

Skoda emblem sticker mounted.

Looks good.

What extra functions does the VW steering wheel have, that the Superb one does not?

From what I remember after using one in a rental Passat and looking at the picture above -  nothing really.

One main difference was that the Passat version uses 2 buttons to move up and down through functions with a 3rd "OK"/Selection button, whereas ours uses a scroll wheel that also functions as an "OK"/Selection button.  Thus the Skoda approach has 2 less buttons per side.   (12 on the Passat versus 10 on the Superb)
