2016 TDi vrs in sick bay

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

So this morning my vrs started flashing the glow plug light the second I started it.  It has gone into the stealers on a tow truck thanks to Skoda service. I got my friend to plug it into his vag com before I did anything and the boos pressure sensor cane up and this other one for an internal combustion sensor on cylinder 3.

when I first bought the car I complained that the car was hesitant at times and they brought it in to check. No faults detected. Then less than 2 months later and after a service 2 weeks ago this happened.

anyone ever had the same experience?

I think it's a faulty glow plug and/or wiring to the glow plug. Swapping glow plugs with another cylinder would help diagnose the problem. Hopefully a quick and easy fix for the dealer.

So I got it back today. Turned out there was a glow plug in cylinder 3 failed and the boost problem I was experiencing from day one was a split vacuum pipe.

Its never pulled so well and felt so grunty. Went for a good long spin tonight and I’m very happy again. Thankfully covered under warranty too so I didn’t spend a dime
