Alientech window controller questions

Featured Replies

I'd like to install the Alientech window controller in my Octavia purely to close the sunroof automatically when I lock the car with the remote - must be getting old as I seem to forget to close the roof these days....

So,

Q1) Can the Alientech be programmed to close the roof if just press the lock button on the remote is pressed? I don't want to have to remember to press anything else!

Q2) Are all the cables to close the roof located within the door panel, or will I need to run some to/from the roof controls?

BTW: The Alientech is on offer at the moment...

On offer? How much and can we organise a group buy?

g7pkf (Dean) is the expert on this and has published instructions (see our Links) for fitting such a controller, although I don't know if his operates the sunroof. I suggest you PM him, No Waiting.

The link is here. It will close the sunroof, but possibly not in isolation to the windows.

No' date=' or yes.....

To lock the car *and* close windows \ sunroof, simply press "unlock" followed by "lock" - this will close all.

All are "painfully" located inside the drivers door.

Purchased from me y'know.

WHo brought it from Dean (G7pkf),but gave up my company Skoda before I fitted it.

It's a well travelled little device, that one......

Well it wasn't bad to fit really. Getting the door apart would have been much harder if not for this:

And the wiring guide linked from this site was essential!

It really freaked my dad out, me taking my brand new car apart in his drive (I park on the road at home, so not too safe for car work!)

Anyway, cheers for the links guys.
