New vRS Owner Hello !

Featured Replies

So after a test drive I bought an Octavia VRS. It drives brilliantly. I think it has been sitting around for a year which isnt good and was filthy and needs some love !

The previous previous owner spent an absolute fortune, new B12 suspension, uprated brakes, new oem exhaust, polybushed, new suspension arms, new air con compressor, new clutch and refurbed gearbox, stage 1 remap, new hubs, new steering rack,  replaced cruise control switch, new wiper linkage etc etc .. Bills for 1000s !

It has some issues I need to sort out though.

First being the boot won't open with the soft button, only opens with the remote and then only opens sometimes.

There is an intermittant CEL .. but going to put in some decent fuel and take it for a blast might just need a good thrash lol.

Will change oil and filter asap.

Interior lights werent working , just a fuse.

Looks like the owner drove into a post or something as front bumper hanging a little low, with dent to bonnet and grill. May tackle these in the spring.

Its total poverty spec. The only option on original bill of sale was cruise control.  Rear windy windows wtf ! No armrest !

My plans are to get it serviced, change all fluids first and fix any faults like the boot.

The mods will continue..but not too many ! Interior is a bit drab so new LED lighting, Sat Nav and some trim enhancements. Stubby Aerial

Will probably fit some form of intake not sure, R8 coil packs. Sort out front end damage. Windows have been badly tinted so may sort that too.

So hi from Leicester :)
