Hi Guys,

 

This may sound like a total stupid question and naive but where is the Tailgate Handle located on the Octavia MK3 early 2015?

 

feel free to mock me.....!!!!

 

I am looking into fitting the Pioneer Navgate Evo as an after market system and connecting this camera to it....

Right in the middle, under the ledge above the numberplate

Edit: that camera is pricey. Mine came from Ali Express and works perfectly for less than £30...

Navgate Evo is a nice looking unit, let us know how installation goes. Might be a nice alternative to my Bolero with the added Navigation.

 

Only thing is I wish the Pioneer unit had buttons for Phone and Radio like on the Bolero, just my oddness but a fourth button each side would make it look a bit better.

Be aware if you have MY15 or earlier that won’t fit without cutting the car to widen the original hole. I have one that fits straight in to an earlier car as is, no cutting. I would link, but they haven’t sent me a replacement yet for the one that came with the wrong kind of camera so can’t fully recommend yet.

My Octavia is a GM15 early 2015 MK3. The unit pist0nbr0ke mentioned is the one you are referring to?

The unit linked above is 112x50mm to fit MY16 onward. The MY15.5 and older use a 92x35mm handle. Measure yours before putting an order in.

Yep, it gets manky! Unavoidable unless you get the waterfed one. Couldn't be faffed with the extra cost and plumbing though, TBH.

 

I just wipe it when I'm doing the lights. And the number plate of course
