I see the 1.5 engine with DSG is now available as a 4x4 on the German configurator.

 

The 1.0l TSI 85kW  engine both with Manual or DSG transmission are also available again.

 

No guesses as to what and when Skoda UK might offer!

Thanks for finding this about the 1.5 Arkaig.

 

Back at the end of October Skoda Customer Services UK had infomed me that the petrol 4X4 (1.5 TSI DSG) would become available in SE L, Scout and Sportline specs around the end of November.   

However that motor/gearbox combination is not yet showing on the ADAC website (which was last updated on 12/11/18, admittedly).  Also my dealer has now said that they will not become available (prices/confirmed specs) until week 3 of 2019.

Time will tell.

Doing some sums based on German prices, the UK premium for 4X4 as against FWD, on a 1.5TSI  SE L might be around £1575.  But Skoda UK might decide something completely different!

Czechia, Italy and Croatia also have the 1.5 4x4 DSG on their lists already, but not Slovenia where I'm looking forward to ordering one.

It was first promised for mid October (to order), then mid November and now postponed indefinitely.
