Collected my 2014 Yeti.... Cant control my Cruise!

Featured Replies

Hello y'all.

Collected my 2014 1.2 SE yeti ealier today.

Amazing. Already deeply impressed on the 90mins home.

How a 1.2 can do that, i dont know!

Pressed every button (more than those on last weeks test drive) and all is well, except...

Cruise control doesnt want to kick in.

Flip the switch (at about 65mph), hit set, get "Drivers assistance setting is faulty"

warning on the readout. Frustrating.

Anyone had this? switch? fuse? something with the ECU?

Am i doing this right? Looks ok jusdging ny the manual.

Whilst i'll be calling the dealer who im presuming will sort under my 3 month warranty,

be great to know if its an easy fix.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts....

1st thing I’d do is go through all the settings on the central display menu and make sure the boxes are ticked for the things you want.   Everything is command menu driven these days.

Thanks, i've already been through the manual and the onboard options and i dont think the Yeti has options that"deep"?

I'd agree with that. Cruise control on the yeti should be pretty simple to use. No extra menus or anything can change it's behaviour.

The little selector should be in the "on" position and then just hit "set" to activate.

At a guess, it could be a faulty switch or stalk but without diagnostics it'll be hard to confirm.

Faulty switch on the stalk is common on the octavia
