Radio Setting Problems

Featured Replies

The radio in my 2014 Octavia Mk III 2.0 TDI Elegance Estate loses it's signal in certain areas, but unlike my previous cars, does not search for an alternative frequency for the same station, but jumps to a different station altogether. I have tried a number of different settings, but without success.

Any thoughts on this?

When you say 'jumps to a different station' - is it like Hearts London suddenly changes to Hearts Surrey or similar ?

If yes - then there is a tick in the Radio settings to 'DAB - DAB station tracking - Switch on/off automatic DAB station tracking in
other groups'. You will have to remove the tick box for this option.

There is another option to switch between DAB and FM 'Automatic DAB - FM switching - Switch on/off auto-switching from DAB to the
FM frequency band if the DAB signal is lost' - I usually keep it ticked.

I've noticed sometimes on my 2015 Octavia that it will search for a nearby frequency once it starts losing reception but will hop to another station altogether if it's frequency is near to the original one.

Only seen it happen when going from one county to another, it will change the page on the screen to the one with the channel it changed to if it's in my presets.

The one I usually listen to is 94.6MHz and sometimes when I start losing reception it will adjust to another station that is on 95.1MHz. I can usually see it changing frequencies as the radio station name will go and you can see the frequency changing.
