Hi, first post and possibly the strangest/dumbest?

 

I've noticed that my gear knob doesn't have any back lighting to show the 6 gear and reverse positions on it.

Am i going mad? Is it back lit somehow? Has a bulb or fuse gone? Can't find any reference to it being back lit in my owners manual or by searching here and in Google.

No they aren’t backlit. 

As Gizmo said, there is no back-lighting on the gear knob

Seems very strange that i can't read anything on the gear knob. 

In that case, it sounds like the markings on the top have worn off

 

You can buy a replacement cheaply enough online and replace it. It'll probably be something like this but please check it's correct before purchasing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191921228120
