Hi has anyone fitted a mk5 golf  gti Airtec twin spec intercooler to a mk2 Octavia vrs ? If so are they a straight fit or do they need any modifications ?

nearly a straight fit.  you might have to fabricate a few minor brackets and cut away some plastic

 

You are better off changing the main IC.  You can get a full alloy unit off ebay / Aliexpress for ~GBP200

 

If you must use a twincooler, Aliexpress has them for GBP200 posted

I looked into replacing the intercooler I have but I wasn’t keen on putting another intercooler in between my rad and condenser . I will check out the shop you have suggested thanks for your advise
