2001 Fabia 1.4mpi misfire, running issue.

Hi all, hope you can help. I started my 2001 Fabia 1.4 MPI this morning and noticed it was running a bit more lumpy than usual. So I gave it a rev up and it was misfiring. Left it to warm up for a minute then reved again and it seemed normal. However, i then went to drive it and it didn't seem to accelerate, tried to reverse it back to its spot and the same reaction. The amber engine management flashed then stayed on. Ive not had it long, its been fine since getting it and was wondering if any of you have had the same problem and wether you managed to fix it.
