gave my 2015  2 ltr  diesel yeti its first hand wash since purchase and was shocked to find rust spots on the bottom of the doors   i can prob sort myself  but was wondering do i have any redress with the dealer or skoda  as i think its not right to find rust on a 3 year old car

i bought the car  f o w  2 jan 2019

any advice would be welcome

thanks

As you've only had the car a fortnight you should go back to the dealer and complain.  However,  did you not examine the car closely for damage/deterioration when you were buying it? The seller might reasonably argue that you would have seen the rust and therefore accepted the car in its present condition.

All that said,  do a search on this forum for "zinc inclusions".... if they are to blame you may be able to get some help from Skoda...rather depends on car's history etc.

Don’t do anything to it ,get to the dealer to report it immediately and don’t let them fob you off it’s a known issue.
