Using CDRW's

Featured Replies

I've used one of these for the first time but I now want to put some different music on it, do I have to erase what's on there first or can I just 'go over it'?

I attempted to do this last night and copy some new stuff from my music folder and all I kept getting up on the screen was what was on the cd already.

Do I need a special programme to wipe it?

I'm not a technaphobe I'm just only OK when things are going to plan

Assuming you're using wondows XP, just delete the files like they're on your hard drive.

Edit: I'd swear the title read CD-R. :o:D

Ignore me.

Er... It says CDRW?

Dont worry about it - these primitive west country folk have trouble reading.

I'm using millenium at the moment but I do have extrememly easy access to XP aswell if it's going to make it a more straight forward process.

cdrw's don't usually play in normal cd players. they're a bit tempramental too: i'd just get a spindle of 100 CD-Rs for about 7 quid and don't reuse disks...

that depends on whether you have "finalise the disc" after your last recording. You could add things on, if you only have "finalise session".

Would recommend Alcohol120%, Nero or Roxio, to wipe the disc first then rewrite again, if Win XP alone can't help you out.

Well I've done it through trial and error, using Roxio to reburn the toons I wanted. Just tried it and the first track sounds like it has a load of mice trying to sing underneath the track :D The rest is 101%
