Hi all,

I have a 2007 Fabia fitted with a spare tyre. The owner's manual says to check its pressure too when checking the other tyres. However, it doesn't mention what pressure it should be at while lying in the spare tyre well (such that under load it would be at the correct pressure). Anybody knows what it should be? It's also not written on the fuel door...

Everytime you check the 4 tyres check the spare and put it a few PSI higher.

 

Personally i always have the Spare Wheel Tyre pressure higher than the 4 on the car and if i need to fit the spare then let the tyre pressure down to the same as the cars wheel / tyre on the other side of the car.

That needs you to have a Tyre Pressure Gauge with you.  But that is smaller than a Tyre Pump / Inflator.

 

As it is i take it the spare is not the same exact size or tread as the 4 on the car. But i still would be wanting to run at the pressure the same when fitted.

Thanks guys, that's some good advise.

Carry a Michelin tyre pressure pump that works off the 12v supply. If it was 30psi I'd be happy, until I could get somewhere to recheck pressures.
