Skoda Tdi140 hot start (misfire?)

Featured Replies

Hello.

Receny bought a 2010 Skoda Yeti with 58k miles.

Starts fine in the cold but when the engine is warm their is a shudder when switching the engine off.

When starting the engine warm it sometimes starts up but immediately cuts out, on the second or third attempt it starts fine but again with the shake/shudder when it starts.

Runs fine when running with no issues shakes or noises.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Tony

Get it plugged in and see what fault codes it throws up.

If it shudders when switching off I believe it could be a valve in the intake failing.

I thought that but it shudders when starting from cold as well. Also when that flap tends to fail it would throw a code

sorry misread your post but my point still stands that its unlikely to be that flap if it shudders when starting.

Have you scanned it for codes? could be something simple like the CTS not reading correct
