Heater core flush

Featured Replies

In an attempt to get better cabin heating I'm thinking of back flushing the heater core in conjunction with cleaning products.

As it is the car has poor heat output.

Has anyone tried this on an Octavia?

If so, any pointers appreciated.

My Octavia was also very slow in producing heat and I think it was down to the design and lack of heater element like you have with the VW models.

I have cleaned out the coolant system and heater matrix on my Shogun using Bars Flush, leave it in for a few days with the heating set to hot then drain and flush with clean water before refilling with coolant. Worked pretty well.
