Had a helix clutch kit fitted with new DMF and slave cylinder today. God it feels crap to drive now, pedal is heavy and I get judder when pulling away from junctions and reversing it into the drive. Any ideas or will it settle down?

Sounds like not fitted correctly and judder is definitely not good.  I would take it back for correction soon.
