Burning Smell

Featured Replies

Anybody experienced this problem - I have a 2013 petrol VRS 61000miles. Every now and then when I get out of the car after my journey (long or short) I smell what i can only describe as burning rubber smell coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. Cant smell anything inside the car only smell when I get out.

Car is not burning oil, no errors and from what I can see all the belts look ok.

Any ideas.

Once or twice I have noticed this, but think it is something in the air external to the car.

Except the OP has a petrol so doesn't have a DPF. Although I'll not worry about it if it ever happens to me now :)
