I've just signed up to this forum which I've found because I'm experiencing problems with my new Octavia which I've only had since November.

 

I quick Google search found this thread from 2016  Amundsen Restart thread which seems to describe the problem exactly but doesn't have a fix.

 

At first, the Amundsen system seemed to work perfectly, then about a month ago it started crashing and restarting several times per journey. It does this even if my phone isn't connected to the car and it does it even if you are just listening to the radio and the SD card (which contains the maps) isn't in the SD card slot, To me, this suggests it's not related to the map software which has been suggested elsewhere nor is it related to eh GPS hardware.

 

It might seem odd that I'm asking if anyone has found a solution to this on a web forum when the problem is on a brand new car which is under full warranty. In answer to that question, I've already rung my nearest dealer and I need to book it into their workshop and they cannot give me booking and a courtesy car for another four weeks. Not only that I suspect they'll say there are no error messages and they can't find anything wrong with it.

 

Anyone know what causes the restart thing and know how to fix it?

On the mib1 version it was firmware...
