Runarb here, with greetings from Svedenland. I purchased my first car last week; an Octavia Class 1.6 Sedan, from 2003.

It's in fairly good condition - at least visually - but I've already noticed a few minor electrical issues. I'm hoping that this will be a positive learning experience, both in the sense of gauging what kind of car I will want to spent more money on in the future, as well as grasping basic car maintenance and repair. I work as a electronics hardware engineer, and although I don't make a living getting my hands dirty in a literal sense, I'm not one to shy away from digging into a problem either.

I'm now off to scan these forums for people with similar problems that I've noticed!
