2016 Superb stop/start

I've just traded in a 2015 Touareg for a 2016 Superb L&K 280.

Stop/start on the Touareg annoyed me, so after reading a thread on a different forum, I purchased a Carista dongle with a 1 month subscription, and coded stop/start to remember the last selected state, and turn the button light on when it was enabled. This seemed a lot more sensible than it being enabled by default every time the car was switched on, and the light being on when it was disabled.

I'd like to do the same thing to the Superb, but I gave away the Carista dongle when the subscription expired, so I'd like to know the easiest/cheapest way to do it please. Not sure I can justify buying VCDS.
