Change mechatronic dsg 7 speed - programming?

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm about to change the mechatronic unit on a 2009 Octavia due to several errors. I have bought a used mechatronic 0AM 927 769 D but I dont know what car its taken from.

My question, is the TCU/Electronic compatibel from car to car (Audi/Wv to Skoda?) According to Ross-Tec I can just copy the old long coding to the New Device.

I have seen videos that they flash/program the TCU to the right car model but dont know if this is a must.

I have the option to change the TCU card from my old mechatronic to the New Device but i dont know if this is a good solution?.

Current errors:

006300 - Function Restriction due to Insufficient Pressure Build-Up - P189C - 000
006079 - Hydraulic Pump - P17BF - 000 - Play Protection

006079 - Hydraulic Pump - P17BF - 001 - Play Protection

002113 - Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch 1 - P0841 - 000 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Rosstech probably assume the new part has the correct hardware and software already installed.

If you're using a used part, this might not be the case so you may need to have the correct software/parameters loaded.

Thanks, you are right, i talked to the Skoda dealer and they says they can program the card for me, they need the VIN so i  think its OK.

I also wonder if I just can transfer the TCU card from the old mecatronic to the new since the problem is mechanical probably in the actuator. It reads only 30bar and it should be 50-60bar pressure.

If the hardware part number and revision is an exact match, I imagine it would be OK. Not sure if the normal adaptions/basic settings will be enough to learn any differences between the old and new mecatronic units.

I'm not a DSG expert so it might be worth calling one to check before risking the new parts.
