Hello guys, I've got vag can pro from a friend and  want to log a few parameters of the car such as injection parameters, ignition advance, boost pressures (actual vs requested) and air flow rate etc things like that, how do I got about doing this in van can pro, connect to to engine module and use measuring blocks?

 

Also if possible I want to activate unlock all doors with 1 key press

 

Also any codes for adaptations?

Ah, person with diagnostic scan tool and willing to plunge into the dark/depths without first knowing what they are doing - a recipe for possible/probably big trouble?

Sorry that you have taken that posting the wrong way, but I’ll still suggest that you get your mate with that diagnostic tool to train you up a bit before you dive in.

We all need to learn, but your wording, to me, makes it sound that you plan to go from never having used a proper diagnostic tool to being a super user at the first time of use - these diagnostics tools can be powerful things and so easy to make mistakes - that is why I replied initially.

I took my time when I first bought VCDS and so far that has worked out okay over the past maybe 18 years.

Okay, I apologise. I have used other diagantotic tools, including VCDS, I just need to see map sensor readings and timiging and injection, that's all and maybe intake air temperatures

 

I'm just wondering why the software won't show me any data in the measuring blocks I think they are called.

 

I'm certain nothing will go wrong and f it does I can flash my standard and stage 1 map back over

you can simply select each number / channel at a time to read whats doing what........you cannot hurt anything.

 

It starts at 1 then just go up, all the common parameters are first, there are often spaces where that particular ecu or vehicle does not use that channel, then just go to the next one.

Strange mine shows nothing, it's communicating correctly too, is there a way to activate 1 click unlocks all doors? Any other features that maybe useful

On VCDS I find "Advanced measuring blocks" dar easier to use and more intuitive than the "measuring blocks" function, I cant see why there are two functions or what the difference is.
