Morning all,

 

Just a  quick question everytime i turn off my engine i get a notification on the dash to check safe lock.

 

Is this an errror that needs attention?

Edit, found it

 

1 press on lock deadlocks the car

2 presses, just external locks and turns off alarms sensors (if you leave someone in car for eg)

 

Should have searched better shouldnt i!

Good to know! I wouldn't have thought to check it - my OH asked about it about a year ago (approximately a year after she had her car, mind you) and I didn't have an answer.

Now, I can bore her with specifics!

Yes.   Presume you found it by the RTFM method.

 

If you push the alarm button on the B post this turns off the interior alarm sensor and will not set the deadlocks.

Two pushes on the key locking fob will not set the deadlocks but I am not sure if it turns the alarm off?

Dont make the mistake i made when i accidenly pressed the lock button while sitting in the drivers seat the whole car locked up and i could not get out.  After inital panick started the car doors unlocked was i relieaved Joe
