Engine fault alarm

Featured Replies

I've just joined this forum. I have a 2.0 TDI 4 x 4 Yeti, 8 years old & clocked 2,05,000 Kms. The high pressure fuel pump failed. I got it replaced with a reconditioned unit. Three CRDI injectors were serviced & one replaced with a new one.  There is an engine fault alarm - high rail pressure which gets the engine into limp mode. The fault comes erratically- some times after 3 days or sometimes three times a day. The fault occurs at low engine revs ( around 1000 rpm ). Anyone come across a similar problem ?

Could it be the pressure regulating valve on the common rail ? Or the metering valve on the pump ?
