After loads of deliberation as to what to replace Wendys Octy L&K with we have finally decided on the Superb & a 2 litre Diesel Elegance was ordered yesterday.

Wendy needed a comfortable well specced car as she covers 35-40,000 miles a year.

She felt the new Octy L&K didnt offer as much for the money as the old L&K, things like xenons & a decent set of wheels are now both extra. The Superb was more comfortable, came with Xenons etc as std, 2 choices of wheels & loads more "toys" including sat nav, all as standard.

Its also aparent that if you spend time working on the dealers you can get incredible discounts putting the Superb price wise on a par with the Octy.

We have only paid a few hundred more at a Main Dealers than the best price I could find on the internet for a L&K Estate with Xenons & Pegasus Wheels added.

If you have spotted my earlier threads she finally went for Sahara Beige with the dark leather option.

As for the old Octy, its 3 years old & has covered 108000 miles so will become the runner to save wear & tear on my 4x4. We were offered 5000 trade in & could probably get 6 privately, we paid 14500 for it originally, its only needed 4 services (last at 105000) & regularly gives 50+ mpg. I class that as incredible value for the miles its covered. Heres hoping the Superb prooves to give as many trouble free miles

You wont be sorry you chose the Superb....it just eats miles and it is just so relaxing to drive .....the only thing missing is the estate option....they could have sold thousands of them

Congratulations Stuart - Sahara Biege in my opinion is about the best choice on the Superb. Personally I think the Black leather option is a bit too black with no contrast and dont personaly like the wood trim with the black leather - although I understand you need to be practicle with your milage.

The Black Edition 100 grey/blue seats and piano black trim is great but feel they should have trimmed the doors with the grey leather also for the same reaons. Your car will look great and I am sure you will be very pleased with it.

My choice would have been Sahara Biege, Ivory leather interior - with a set of black carpet mats for every day use.

With My Ivory leather trimmed Superb I got a set of extra black mats as a gift from my dealer when i picked it up for use in winter etc.
