Drivers seat knocking during cornering

Featured Replies

I hope someone can help.  Ive recently bought a 2016 Superb and I am made up with it, it's a great car.

One minor niggle is that there is a knocking noise from the drivers seat during cornering.  Ive raised the seat to its highest position and it seems that there is a small amount of play on one of the sliding rails which allows the seat to move slightly with the centrifugal force caused during cornering.  its not massive issue but still annoying.

Has anyone else experienced this or had any joy under warranty?

Thanks.

I get it on one particular mini roundabout on the way home and there's a single 'clunk' that I can just hear when turning right quite briskly :)

Haven't bothered having it looked at as that's the only place I notice it.

Check under the seat there isn't some random object like an empty whiskey bottle, sliding about. :mmm:

I've had this lol ! Not noticed it for a bit though ... I removed the Whisky bottle ...

hmmmm, mine does the same, just the odd clunk on corners.....mine is a 2016 model year. Never had it investigated but have checked that nothing under the seats

Had this on my 66 plate SE L Exec since new. Dealer investigates at every service but never find an issue....
