Brake Caliper Worries

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I had the passenger brake caliper replaced due to it siezing at the weekend and the discs and pads as a result. The garage stripped and cleaned the driver side as well but advised that the same could happen to that and if so I would need new discs and pads again.

I am going get it done as soon as my wallet recovers from the first sting but I scared in case the same happens to the drivers side in the mean time. I'm even checking the disc temperatures after a journey to see if the drivers one is different to the passenger one. It was ever so slighty hotter.

Am i just paranoid?

If it siezes on you should know about it as the car will decellerate very quickly when you take your foot off and tend to pull to one side I would have thought.

I guess that depends how much it is stuck on.

Sorry I can't be more help

Cheers. I might just get it changed to be on the safe side and to keep both sides performing the same. Reet, where's that hammerite smooth green :)
