2009 Octavia VRS DPF and exhaust problems

Featured Replies

Hi all

The rear box fell off my VRS (corroded through the pipe in front of the back box).

Investigating replacement finds that the rear box can only be replaced by Skoda (expensive - £400 once fitted)

While working this out the DPF light came on and Skoda now want £2,700 to replace (inc the exhaust fix)

Any suggestions or it's off to WeBuy ANy Car - it's done 130,000 miles and I'm not convinced its a good investment to be spending thousands.

Any insights will be useful.

Thanks

C

Hello,

Whereabouts in Surrey are you?

If you're near Guildford I can recommend a trustworthy Independent VAG specialist where you might get a second opinion?

Cheers,

D.
