I've scrubbed the Scala from my short list. In fact, I'm really warming to a Polo as a replacement for our Octavia in a few months.

Popped into my local Skoda dealership yesterday and saw the Scala for the first time.

 

I must admit to feeling very much underwhelmed by the whole experience and the obvious impression of a 'Tarted Up' Rapid Spaceback came to mind instantly. Likewise with the sombre interior.

 

Good luck if Skoda believes this is a competitor to the V.W. Golf and Ford Focus.

 

I'll bide my time until the new Octavia is available later this year.
