Noise issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2010 2ltr TDI wagon with about 165,000 km.

I have been chasing a noise in the car for about 20,000km.

Starts when we get to 70km/h. No vibration.

Changed the tyres. Had a wheel alignment. No improvement.

This morning I pulled the plastic under engine cover off. It was being held on by six screws and two bolts. One bolt is snapped off.

Could that be the reason?

Whilst I have the cover off it should I look at anything else?

Thanks

Mark

Drive it without putting the cover back on.................That will answer that question.

Just feel / look for anything loose or untoward and if it were me i would note anything (hopefully not) leaking.........if just for peace of mind.
