Octavia 1.9tdi 2009. Dramatic shutdown

Featured Replies

Hello and greetings to you guys.

Well i have skoda octavia 1.9tdi ,2009 model. From some days  i am facing a problem. My car engine shutdown anytime and it doesn't start again. But leaving  it for some time,  15 to 30 minutes. It start again and go for few kilometers. Here i would like to mention that no temperatures related fault is being displayed or neither the temperature meter go on red side. Niddle stays at mid. But when i go near to engine i feel its hot,  not like extreme hot but. Hot.

Problem:-

1)Fresh start goes 10 to 15 km and than engine shutdown without showing any fault

2) after engine shutdown. When i try to start it again,  it stars but don't stay steady. Within 2 second it shutdown again

3) than i lock my car wait for 15 to 30 minutes or more to start it normally and can go for few kilometers

Things to mention  :-

1) engine oil is at its good level, checked

2)water tenk at good level checked

3)15ltr diesel in tenk

4)no temperatures warring

5)engine speed sensor is being shown once and bing reset.

6)glow plug sign flasing (it can be due to my faulty rear brake bulb)

7) most of the time when i switch off my car ac this thing happens

8) there are two fans near radiator, when i start my car after 30 minutes of brake after engine cut.  they are still and when i start ac they both started.

Please help me. What could go wrong
