Oil leak from turbo pipe

Featured Replies

Hello been to skoda for a cambelt and pump change on my 2l diesel vrs, 170 cr.

And they said I have a bad oil leak and it looks like it's coming from a hose/pipe that is part of the turbo, so would be a compete new turbo as the hose/pipe is attached, anyone know about this hose or had a similar problem?

Thanks

Might be worth checking the source of the leak yourself...

I've had a leak from the "out" pipe from the intercooler (pd 140). I finally got round to sorting it recently. From what I read there is always some oil blow by at the turbo bearings and into the intake. Some people clean out their intercoolers every 80k or so because of this (combined with having too much time).

Anyway, I think what happened was last time it had a cam belt the pipe had to be removed to get access. When they put the pipe back on the intercooler the small rubber seal got caught and therefore failed to seal again. Nice oil spray over front of engine.

I bought a new seal off a well known internet auction site for about £5 and fixed the leak. 3C0145117F 57.85mm was the code.
