Downsized

I’ve just done a deal to downsize from my Octavia vrs 230 dsg to a fabia Vrs .

Its a two owner dealer car with 44k and full service history .

Ive been reading the stories and wondering are they all true .

Car has been regularly serviced and all receipts for work carried out including water pump .

Wont really be doing many miles .

What are they like to live with .

What year is it and do you know what engine you’ve got in it? (CTHE or CAVE)

 

I’ve had my 2012 CTHE for almost a year now and had to change the water pump a couple months in. But seen as yours has been done that’s sound. I did also have a quite expensive problem with the dsg. The direct shift broke in the gearbox and mostly everything was replaced in the gearbox. Haven’t seen many (if any) stories of this happening so think it was just one of those things.

 

Ive had no oil consumption issues as of yet, I’ve only had to put a litre in it and that was due to it being on the low side when I bought it anyway.

 

Overall I’ve enjoyed the car for close to a year and I’m hoping to have it for a couple more.

Yes ment to say a 2012 Cave although I’ve managed to get a two year warranty from a garage that I’ve been buying Skoda’s from for the last 18yrs .
