anybody has ideea if it is possible to change the Amundsen media unit with a Columbus unit?

I ask this because If is possible I whant to swap my Amundsen unit with a Columbus unit so can I have the CD/DVD and SIM slot on Amundsen.

The Skoda offer only with Columbus the media unit with SIM slot.

Yes it’s possible, depending on the screen size that may need changing as well. 

If you buy 2nd hand and it is recorded as stolen then you will not be able to get Component Protection turned off. 

The screen size I guess is 8" on Amundsen and 9'on Columbus .

yes I know the stolen issue; how you can know if is not stolen before you install on car?

There is no true way of knowing if it’s on VW’s database until you try to remove the CP, unless you buy from the dealer (££ keertching!) 

 

According to a few people on FB there are a few cheap stolen units ‘doing the rounds’ that keep cropping up time and time again when the ‘new owner’ finds out it has been stolen.
