Hi all,

 

While doing my service, my mechanic noticed strange noise coming from the engine around the belts area, he is not a Skoda specialized, so he told me to ask opinions first before spending the time digging in my engine bay.

What do you guys think this is ?

Pop the cover off and check the belt is still where is should be on the pulleys.

 

Sounds a little bit like when the freewheel pulley on the alternator started to failed on my mk1 diesel,

Sec8200, Thank you for the link, the noise matches mine so it has to be the vacuum-oil pump noise, which seemed normal at the end, glad i dont need to spend money on that one  as my electric boot just stopped working and need my attention.. 

EagleRocky, not pleasant at all. Honestly I was not able to replace under warranty.

 

And it makes me feel bad, like I paid for second hand car. Like .. I dont trust it fully.

 

No one however gave feedback that it failed.

 

Up to you how to react on this..

Yea i would be angry if my car would be still under warranty.

I have researched a lot online but havnt found any indication that it failed for anyone.

I get really stressed when it come to engine issues, had a lot of stess with my old E91 BMW..
